I've been thinking for a while about what I wanted Zibuu to become.

At first, it was mostly a name I used for some of my personal projects, hosting stuff, websites, servers and all those little experiments that somehow start with "this should be easy" and end with me staring at logs at 2 AM.

But I want it to be something bigger than that.

Zibuu is becoming a community built around technology, creativity and people.

More specifically, a space focused on the LGBTQ+ and furry communities, where technology doesn't have to feel corporate, distant or boring.

A place where we can build cool things, share what we know, help each other and hopefully create something that feels a little more human.

So... what exactly is Zibuu?

Zibuu will mainly revolve around a few things:

Custom software development, web technologies, infrastructure and cybersecurity.

That can mean anything from building a website or a custom platform, developing plugins and integrations, working with APIs, creating internal systems, managing servers or helping secure infrastructure.

But I don't want Zibuu to be just another website saying:

"We make software solutions for your business."

There are already enough of those.

I want to actually talk about the things we're building, the problems we run into, the weird bugs we find, the technologies we're experimenting with and the lessons that come from breaking things and eventually figuring out how to fix them.

Basically, the real side of working with technology.

A little bit about me

I'm the person behind Zibuu.

My background is a bit unusual because I've spent time studying Law and Criminalistics, while eventually finding myself much more deeply involved in computers, infrastructure and software development.

Today, most of what I do revolves around IT.

I've worked with web development, Linux servers, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, databases, APIs, authentication systems and internal business platforms.

A lot of my development work is centered around PHP and Laravel, although I also spend a ridiculous amount of time working with Linux, Docker, Nginx, databases, Git and server infrastructure.

On the infrastructure side, I've worked with things like Proxmox, Active Directory, WireGuard, DNS, monitoring, backups, SIEM systems and self-hosted services.

And honestly, that's one of the things I enjoy the most about technology.

I like understanding how all the pieces connect.

Not just writing the application, but figuring out where it runs, how users authenticate, how services communicate, how data is protected, how everything gets monitored and what happens when something inevitably catches fire.

Sometimes literally everything works.

Sometimes DNS decides otherwise.

That's just IT.

Technology with a personality

Something I really want Zibuu to have is its own identity.

Technology spaces can sometimes feel extremely sterile.

Black backgrounds. Blue gradients. Random stock photos of servers. Someone wearing a hoodie looking suspiciously at six monitors.

You know the aesthetic.

Zibuu is going in a slightly different direction.

Expect pastel colors, furry stuff, games, anime references, questionable humor and probably an unnecessary amount of cute things mixed with servers and code.

Because being interested in infrastructure, cybersecurity or software engineering doesn't mean everything has to look like a corporate SOC dashboard.

We can build serious technology without taking ourselves seriously all the time.

A space for talent inside our community

There's another part of Zibuu that is especially important to me.

I want to create a space where people from the LGBTQ+ and furry communities can share their work and talent in a safer and friendlier environment.

There are incredibly talented developers, artists, designers, writers, system administrators, cybersecurity people, content creators and all kinds of creative people in our communities.

Sometimes finding them isn't easy.

And sometimes showing your work online can be intimidating, especially when you don't know how people are going to react to who you are.

My idea is to gradually create a section within Zibuu where members of the community can showcase projects, share resources, discover other creators and potentially collaborate with each other.

Not everything has to be commercial either.

Maybe you made a small open-source tool.

Maybe you created a Minecraft plugin.

Maybe you're learning web development.

Maybe you're an artist looking for someone to build your portfolio.

Maybe you're a developer looking for someone who can actually make your UI look good because, like me, your natural instinct is to put everything inside a Bootstrap card and call it a day.

All of that belongs here.

Building in public

Zibuu itself is also going to be an experiment.

I'm constantly building things, changing infrastructure, trying new technologies and starting projects that probably seemed like a much smaller idea when I first thought about them.

So instead of hiding all of that behind a finished product, I want this blog to document part of that process.

I'll probably write about things like:

• Web development and Laravel

• APIs and integrations

• Linux and server administration

• Networking

• Cybersecurity

• Self-hosting

• Authentication and identity systems

• DevOps

• Open-source projects

• Game servers and gaming communities

• Experiments that worked

• Experiments that absolutely did not work

• And whatever weird technology rabbit hole I happen to fall into that week

Some posts will be tutorials.

Some will be project updates.

Some might simply be me explaining something interesting I discovered while working on a problem.

And this is only the beginning

I don't have every part of Zibuu figured out yet.

And that's intentional.

I want it to grow naturally alongside the projects, people and ideas that become part of it.

What I do know is that I want Zibuu to be a place where technology, creativity and community can exist together.

A place where people can learn something useful, discover someone's work, find collaborators or maybe just read about someone spending three hours troubleshooting something that turned out to be a missing semicolon.

So whether you're here because you're a developer, an artist, a furry, part of the LGBTQ+ community, a server nerd, a gamer, someone curious about technology...

...or some chaotic combination of all of the above:
