Overview

About this project

SkinSystem brings simple, web-based Minecraft skin management directly into your Azuriom website.

Designed for offline-mode Minecraft communities, SkinSystem allows registered players to upload, manage, and apply their preferred character skins through an accessible interface. Players never need to enter commands inside the game: the entire process is handled automatically between Azuriom and the connected Minecraft server.

A Modern Continuation of SkinSystem

SkinSystem is an independent continuation of the original SkinSystem project published by the SkinsRestorer team.

The original repository was archived on May 19, 2024, after its maintainers announced that they no longer had the capacity to continue developing the PHP project.

This implementation aims to preserve the distinctive and convenient experience offered by the original project while rebuilding it around Azuriom and introducing new usability, integration, and security improvements.

Upload and Apply Skins from the Web

Players can manage their Minecraft appearance without needing to remember commands or perform additional steps inside the server.

Through the SkinSystem interface, users can drag and drop their preferred Minecraft skin, upload it, and apply it to their linked player account.

  • Simple skin uploader: Upload a Minecraft skin through an accessible drag-and-drop interface.
  • No in-game commands: Players do not need to type commands or manually interact with server plugins.
  • Automatic processing: SkinSystem handles the required actions behind the scenes.
  • Linked account support: Skins are applied to registered users whose Minecraft accounts are connected to Azuriom.
  • RCON and AzLink integration: Communicate with your Minecraft server using the connection method configured for your website.

Personal Skin Library

Administrators can enable a personal skin library that allows users to save their favorite appearances directly within SkinSystem.

Instead of uploading the same image every time they want to reuse a skin, players can select it from their library and apply it again with only a few steps.

  • Save frequently used skins.
  • Switch between previously uploaded appearances.
  • Avoid repeatedly uploading the same image.
  • Keep favorite skins organized within the user's account.

The personal library is configurable, allowing each website administrator to decide whether this feature should be available to their community.

Optional Cape Support with MineSkin

SkinSystem can integrate with the MineSkin API to allow users to select supported capes for their Minecraft appearance.

This integration is optional and requires the website administrator to provide a valid MineSkin API key. Cape generation is an external MineSkin service and may require an eligible paid MineSkin plan.

MineSkin independently manages its subscriptions, prices, availability, API limits, and service conditions. Any fees associated with cape support are paid directly to MineSkin and are not collected or managed by Zibuu.

Built-In Security Protections

SkinSystem includes multiple protections designed to reduce automated abuse, repeated requests, and unsafe uploads.

  • Rate limiting: Helps prevent spam and excessive skin upload or application requests.
  • Image validation: Uploaded files are verified before they are accepted and processed as Minecraft skins.
  • Native CAPTCHA integration: Uses the CAPTCHA provider configured in your Azuriom installation as an additional verification layer.

CAPTCHA protection is integrated through Azuriom, allowing SkinSystem to use the same security configuration already established for your website.

Designed for a Frictionless Player Experience

SkinSystem removes unnecessary complexity from Minecraft skin management.

  1. The player signs in to their linked Azuriom account.
  2. They upload a new skin or select one from their personal library.
  3. SkinSystem validates the selected image.
  4. The skin is applied through the configured RCON or AzLink connection.

The player can then continue using their Minecraft account without needing to copy commands, contact a staff member, or manually configure their appearance inside the game.

Free Core Functionality

SkinSystem is available free of charge. Its core functionality allows registered and linked players to upload and apply Minecraft skins without requiring a paid Zibuu license or subscription.

Optional features that depend on external services, such as cape support through MineSkin, may involve costs established and collected by the corresponding third-party provider.

Bring Player Customization into Azuriom

Whether you manage a survival network, minigame community, roleplay server, or another offline-mode Minecraft project, SkinSystem gives players a convenient way to control their appearance directly from your website.

Upload skins, maintain a personal collection, apply appearances automatically, and optionally extend customization with supported capes—all through an experience integrated into Azuriom.

Interface Disclaimer

The screenshots shown reflect the latest publicly available version of the plugin running on the latest available version of Azuriom and using Azuriom's default theme.

The final user interface may vary depending on the version of the plugin and Azuriom installed on your website, as well as the Azuriom theme you have enabled and configured.
